I'm wondering if any of you have had the same problem, or tried something similar in other old games? Right now I can't get past the second mission I have to click a guy. The problem is that clicking units is nearly impossible The area I'm supposed to hit is tiny, and usually not even on top of the unit.
It is supposed to be similar to for example StarCraft You click a unit, or you drag a box around it. It is so effing difficult to select a unit or a person. There is just a single one thing that makes Emergency 2 unplayable for me. The first Emergency game crashed if I just looked at it wrong.
The game works surprisingly fine in Windows 10, using compatibility mode. The concept of controlling police cars, firefighting units, ambulances and personnel still feel quite original.
Gameplay is odd, the entire world is without much animation, and it is difficult to determine how to complete the different missions. The games are crappy in so many ways, including how they work on modern computers. The oldest games were never really that popular, and probably for good reason.
I'm working my way through the Emergency series.
